Many of us are afraid that once machines start to imitate human intelligence, we’ll be left without our jobs. This is a very real issue for our generation, but it seems especially close to web developers, whose jobs seem to be more easily performed by machines than others’.
However, in reality, there’s not much to worry about, since AI machines help humans with tasks that don’t require a lot of creativity and are more routine ones.
That is why, our concluding answer to the question “Will AI replace programmers ?” is no, it won’t. It will simply assist them, making their work easier and less routine. We work so hard to make ourselves obsolete and useless.
We think we're giving ourselves a competitive advantage, make a lot of money or make life easier by automating everything without deeply thinking about the consequences.
Because "if we don't develop it, our competitors will do it, kick us out of business and we are missing out."
It's no longer the question if we should build something, but how we build it first.
It sadly is like the WEF megalomaniacs are saying: "Our problem for the coming decades will be, what to do with all these useless eaters. And what will give them a sense of meaning in life, when they are basically meaningless and worthless."

Yes it will replace all jobs eventually. I will be used more and more as an aid to write smaller sections of code but then it will take over larger chunks, eventually there won't really be a need for developers. Most jobs will be replaced at the point too so nobody will need to work anymore.

Nowadays we see some ai tool like github copilot,codex.. it's pretty much better now from human.. can this tools will be more power in the next decade and replace a developer or programmer.. what u think about this..

this AI we have now have just the name nothing more idk why people are suprised they are just fooling you ! all of this is just a an algorithms that collect data and display them in need that's all open your eyes people it's still a very loooooooong time to create an artificial consious and when that happen it will not be thet end of jobs but the end of humanity

Ai can code for us and we create ideas make road map algo and sleep and let ai code our idea step by step and we sleep may be have some games with ai

Funny thing is ..yes in future ai will replace programers , we would just be thinking of ideas and making an road map algorithm for a computer present it with the task to code it and go to sleep next morning ready … May be ai will have its own better ideas …but politicians will never be replaced untill we make humanoids as the play with emotional connect and not digital

This raises some other concerns like, will AI assistance make demand for developers go down and will it lead to a decrease in pay since less skills will be required of developers
