August 11, 2024 2024-08-11 9:25Statistics – A Full University Course on Data Science Basics
Learn the essentials of statistics in this complete course. This course introduces the various methods used to collect, organize, summarize, interpret and reach conclusions about data. An emphasis is placed on demonstrating that statistics is more than mathematical calculations. By using examples gathered from real life, students learn to use statistical methods as analytical tools to develop generalizations and meaningful conclusions in their field of study.

Guys if somebody can help me, I have a question for you. As a beginner with only a little knowledge about statistics, can I refer to this course? Will it help me understand all the statistics topics covered in the video, or do I need to clear up my basics first?
@DanBlabbers
That audio quality and her nasally voice echoing makes this unlistenable
@markkennedy9767
4:08:10 surely if the mean, median and mode are the same, then the distribution doesn't have to be normal. The converse holds the though.

Is this for ml engineering 🤔??? Plz i want to know

Just here so I can learn to calculate the probability of my dad coming back with the milk.

An university student already knows what a sigma sign is so it makes no sense to say what is a sigma function is

Is this course relevant for basic of stats for quantitaive finance??

How to get the slides of this video?
@anoneemous406
No discrete probability makes this video invalid as a “university course.”

Great course, just wish the examples were more general / less focused on healthcare!
@Ravi-vp1mu
Where to get the notes??
@bertustenhoor9416
I don´t know if this was already mentioned, but the negative number (like -1.48) in the chebychev's slide "Let's try Chebychevs intervals!" means "waited 1.48 mins shorter than the mean. So stating that "At least 75 patients would have waited between -1.48 an 13.48 minutes" needs an addition related to the mean wiating time. so -1.48 DOES make sense..

Statistics was one of my favorite college courses. I liked Stats 101 so much that I took Stats 102.
