As an agency that has run SEO for the past ten years, there's some truth to this, but not in the way you've mentioned. SEOs have been writing bad content for years; if anything, AI has helped improve that. What's killing SEO is #1 Google and its push to monetise its search results, plus the latency on it is often so long that it's not viable to run the service, and #2 short-form video content and social platforms – nobody is reading blogs anymore, and #3 ask ChatGPT and Google the same question, I asked "how many days are left in the year", I had to look at 3-4 search results. I still didn't get the answer with Google, where as ChatGPT delivered it in 3 lines instantly.

At times i ask goolgle a specific question and i get results filled with 500+ word articles…when the answer would have been a line or a paragraph. Chat gpt gets to the point. However content needs to be published and live somwhere. AI will be the assistant. Hopefully unbiased?🤔

What if a user is searching for some services? Will chatgpt give services to him/her? Chatgpt maybe tell the name of the top 10 service providers. But a user will get the information and contact details plus the service from googe only or any other search engine.
