Learn JavaScript Interactively in NEW freeCodeCamp.org Curriculum
January 31, 2025 2025-01-31 0:55Learn JavaScript Interactively in NEW freeCodeCamp.org Curriculum
freeCodeCamp.org has just launched a major update to the JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures Certification. You can now learn JavaScript by building 21 projects!
Instead of coding through a series of challenges, you will learn the fundamentals of JavaScript by building 16 practice projects + 5 certification projects. Each of the practice projects will lead you through a step by step process for building out dynamic HTML, CSS and JavaScript applications.
Check out the new JavaScript curriculum at www.freeCodeCamp.org!

@PegeCovers
About to finish the course. Challenging and useful. Cheers guys.
@BlengBongMarcos
I am currently at the Calorie Counter course, and I think the concepts being introduced there are way beyond a struggling begginer like me. Yes, I can follow the instructions but the thing is, I'd like to understand the concept more. In this course, I feel like the program just wants me to follow the instructions and do the code then move on to the next thing. It's fast paced if you do it like that and my understanding of the concepts are mediocre at best.
I like the old Javascript Course wherein they introduce concepts one-by-one and at the end of each concepts there will be a problem solving part where you can apply the concepts that you learned previously. In this new course, it feels like you guys wants to bombard us with concepts and apply them by following directions instead of assessing our understanding and enhancing our problem solving skills.

I just love this channel!
@mitsk2002
I love you guys!! Thank you so much for all you do at FCC. I completed certifications for Web Design and JavaScript DSA a few months back, and I am so excited to do these JS projects! Bless you all!

I got very discouraged as soon as I got to the palindrome checker.
I had no idea where to start. The previous practice projects were also too complicated to learn from. You just go through the motions hoping you’ll get it eventually. I’m freaking out now wondering were to learn to come back to the palindrome.

I got to say doing the second project is just like typing the code out. The understanding part is truly lacking. It feels like only seeing a small part of ‘an elephant’ and trying to understand oh it is an elephant.
@PatrikLeng58
Im new to javascript. Finishing first exercise felt easy and gave me some kind of confidence. Second exercise, one the other hand, is a insane jump in difficulty! I had no clue what am I doing each task. That function called addEntry() is something else… I dont feel like this should have been second exercise at all.
@maxifeatures
ik that you can do the projects in any order, but i reckon it would be better if the spreadsheet project came after the spam filter one
@maxifeatures
does anybody understand the spreadsheet one? too hard imho :()
@MRobinPI
i'm unfamiliar with FCC; does this come with any instructional material/videos or is it all projects to be built?
@clydeforland5944
Are you guys going to record this course too! I’m about to start it tomorrow and I’m about loose my mind with joy.
@David-vd7tu
Does anyone know how we get started, I can't seem to find the video for the first project. I went to their webpage where you have all the projects but can't seem to find the place to start the first project.
