The problem with local meetups in mi city is that they are very toxic, instead of helping just destroy you (one of my friends even got threaten by a "developer with influence" about destroying his career), maybe it is the bad side in some countries, not everyone wants to see you becoming successful 🙁

Luckily, we don't have this problem in Switzerland because we have the principle of an apprenticeship where you can be employed by a company at the age of 16 for around €600-1000 a month and where the focus is on the trainers training you in the company even if you have no prior knowledge.

The reason resumes look the same now is because every major corp uses a software to scan resumes and if it’s not in a very specific format text font size color ur will not be approved by the software so you can thank them for the the “boring” resumes

If are you beyond 3 YOE, do you really have a say to how to get dev jobs today? On how to get better at coding, sure, but on how to get jobs? Let me be honest, if you had 3+ YOE, you guys had it easy, period. It is so incredibly easy for you to get a developer job during 2021 and 2022. That market is just fill with jobs. Also, because how easy it was to get a job, a TON of people were rushing in to the dev market, so right now we end up with less jobs and more people.

I got my first job at 15 and I'm 27 been working every since never claimed a benefit always worked had 10 different jobs my friends dad is 55 and he said I have more jobs than him 😂😂

I am only getting more and more depressed after watching this because i have done everything that this video mentioned 2-3 months before watching this and i have no problem in doing On-Site work but the real situation is that in 2024 there are just not enough jobs. I didn't even think about doing remote work because beggars can't be choosers
