I followed the steps on the motion tracking and restarted that section as well. My problem occurs when I click on the null object in the comp it doesn't line up with the footage or even move at all. In the layer section I can see the motion tracking working fine but nothing works when I switch to the comp. I messed with the settings and linked the null object to the tracking multiple times but just takes me back to the layer and doesn't carry over into the comp.

I know I'm not saying anything new but I've been through just a few lessons so far and this is by far the best video on AE. The perfect level of detail, speed, very clear, concise voice….it's like being in a classroom. I've noticed in other videos, people try to talk fast to get a lot of info in within the shortest time. But not here. It's meant to actually TEACH you something, not just rattle through something. Looking forward to getting through it all! Thanks for this great video!

Huge thank you for this tutorial. It's amazing. Don't know how long it's gonna take me to get all this though… Biggest problem I have with After Effects atm is the highly complicated user interface. I screw up a lot of my experiments by accidently pressing a shortcut key I didn't knew existed and trying to figure out what happened… 🙂 🙂 🙂
