5 sites with listening material for English language learners that also include scripts and exercises. All these sites are free and don’t require any type of sign up. This is useful material that students can work on alone to develop their listening skills. I find listening and reading the script at the same time is really useful. There is content here for all different levels and the great thing is students can work alone and hopefully become more independent learners. Each site
1) is Free with no sign up
2) Offers listening material in English
3) provides the complete script of the audio
4) has interactive exercises to check basic understanding
These are great sites to recommend to your students. They can work alone, listen, read the script and do the exericises and get feedback.

It is very informative.
@stephenmonash821
In practice reading along with the dialogue is useful. However, in an assessment students would not have the transcript to use, as they would read for the answers rather than listen. Thanks for the websites though.

I'm a Canadian doing volunteer work with newcomers to Canada as part of a newcomer-mentorship program. An important first hurdle for the people I work with is learning English and I give them supplemental help in addition to their official classes. I'm not a professional English teacher of course, but I do have personal experience learning foreign languages. I find that listening comprehension is one of the most important but least-concentrated-on areas for many people.
This is excellent material that I'll in turn be able to suggest to my mentees for practice. From my perspective, it's also important that it's free as they don't have a lot of resources. Thanks for making this available!!!

How can I open TalkingEnglish.com please tell to me open that I need that website
@simplest2remember
I've been using ieltsenglish.co.uk for a while now, they focus on collocations in particular, and have developed lesson plans that you can use very quickly. They have ielts-style interviews with a foreign speaker each lesson, where the language is analysed and mistakes corrected. The business plan is to get these lesson plans in front of your students in the hopes that your students will decide they want more. Interesting business plan.

I agree that for students learning on their own, sites that accompany a listening with the script and exercises are great. In fact, they are great for the teachers too! I teach adults in a business environment, a lot of them at B2 and above so I end up using a lot of "authentic" materials which I think is what they need, It's time consuming, but rewarding as I'm helping them deal with their real life situations. For business students who want to practice their listening skills with exercises and scripts, I can recommend an old Macmillan site which features both native and non native speakers talking about their working life. http://www.businessenglishonline.net/resources/podcasts/ and also this British Council site https://learnenglish.britishcouncil.org/professionals-podcasts.
The following site gives listenings and exercises related to exam levels, but they can be used in general English classes too https://www.examenglish.com/B2/B2_listening.htm
